NBA: Detroit 113, LA Clippers 107 (OT)

Los Angeles -- Charlie Villanueva scored 30 points and Rodney Stuckey came up with two key overtime baskets Friday in Detroit's 113-107 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.

Stuckey scored 17 points and handed out six assists for the Pistons, who have won three of their last four games. Richard Hamilton finished with 12 points, five steals and five rebounds for Detroit.

Eric Gordon led the Clippers with 28 points. Blake Griffin had 18 points and 18 rebounds for LA, which lost its fifth straight and game -- and has won just once in 10 games this season.

NBA: Detroit 98, Charlotte 75

Auburn Hills, Mich. -- Charlie Villanueva scored 30 points Wednesday, Detroit shot 55 percent from the field and the Pistons ran away from Charlotte 98-75.

The Bobcats made 40-of-72 shots, giving rookie Detroit Coach John Kuester his first career victory over mentor Larry Brown.

Kuester was an assistant to Brown when Detroit won the NBA title in 2004 and they also worked together in Philadelphia.

Rodney Stuckey and Will Bynum both had 16 points for the Pistons, who reached the breakeven mark after eight games.

Nazr Mohammed led Charlotte with 13 points. The Bobcats have lost three in a row.

Detroit outscored Charlotte over the middle two periods 61-31. The Bobcats have lost eight times in their last 10 trips to Auburn Hills.

NBA: Toronto 110, Detroit 99

Toronto -- Chris Bosh scored 25 points with eight rebounds Wednesday, leading the Toronto Raptors to a 110-99 win over the Detroit Pistons.

A 44-28 second period gave Toronto complete control.

Detroit held a 28-24 first-period advantage but after Marco Belinelli's driving layup put Toronto in front 33-31 with 9:59 left in the first half, Detroit never regained the lead.

Andrea Bargnani scored 22 with 12 rebounds, Hedo Turkoglu had 17 with seven rebounds and six assists, and Antoine Wright scored 12 with five rebounds for the Raptors, who have started the season by splitting their first four games.

Report: Pistons sign Gordon, Villanueva

Detroit, July 1: The Detroit Pistons have agreed to terms with guard Ben Gordon and forward Charlie Villanueva, the Detroit Free Press reported Wednesday.

The newspaper said that although the deals cannot be made official until July 8, they have both agreed to five-year contracts. Villanueva will reportedly sign for $35 million and Gordon for $55 million.

Gordon has spent his first five professional seasons with Chicago. He has averaged 18.5 points a game in 398 career contests. Villanueva has played 274 career games in four seasons. He was drafted by Toronto and was traded to Milwaukee after his rookie year.
