MLB: Philadelphia 6, Colorado 5

Denver, Oct. 12: Closer Brad Lidge stranded two but got the Philadelphia Phillies' 6-5 win Sunday over the Colorado Rockies in Game 3 of the National League Division Series.

Lidge, who blew a league-high 11 saves during the regular season, induced Rockies Troy Tulowitzki to pop to left to end the game, giving the Rockies a 2-1 edge in the best-of-five divisional series.

In the top of the ninth, Ryan Howard drove in Jimmy Rollins, representing the go-ahead run, with a sacrifice fly. Carlos Ruiz knocked in two runs, while Chase Utley homered and scored twice for the defending World Series champions.

Carlos Gonzalez collected three hits, including a homer, and scored three times for the Rockies. Garrett Atkins added two RBI.

MLB: Colorado 4, St. Louis 3

Denver, Sept. 27: Todd Helton, Troy Tulowitzki and Carlos Gonzalez had two hits and one RBI apiece Sunday, helping the Colorado Rockies to a critical 4-3 win over St. Louis.

The win helped Colorado stay 2 1/2 games ahead of Atlanta in the NL wild-card chase.

Helton's RBI single snapped a 3-3 tie with one out in the bottom of the fifth.

Winner Jorge De La Rosa (16-9) gave up three runs and four hits in five innings with three walks and eight strikeouts.

Closer Huston Street earned his 34th save, despite giving up two hits in the top of the ninth.

Albert Pujols led St. Louis with a three-run third-inning double. Julio Lugo added two hits for the Cardinals, who had clinched the NL Central with a 6-3 victory Saturday.

MLB: Colorado 3, Cincinnati 1

Denver, Sept. 9: Jason Marquis turned in a solid start and Eric Young hit a solo home run for Colorado in the Rockies' 3-1 win over Cincinnati Tuesday.

Marquis (15-10) limited the Reds to one run on four hits and struck out seven in 7 1/3 innings to match his career high for wins and carry the Rockies to their seventh win in eight games.

Young went 2-for-3 and scored two runs. Todd Helton and Carlos Gonzalez each drove in a run on sacrifice flies.

Matt Maloney (0-4) took the loss despite giving up one run on four hits.

Joey Votto drove in Cincinnati's only run in the eighth on a groundout with runners on second and third.

MLB: Colorado 5, Washington 4

Washington, Aug. 19: Solo homers by Clint Barmes and Carlos Gonzalez Wednesday led the Colorado Rockies to a 5-4 win over Washington.

Barmes and Gonzalez each had two hits. The homer by Gonzalez, his eighth, gave Colorado a 5-3 advantage leading off the top of the eighth.

Troy Tulowitzki hit a two-run first-inning double. Dexter Fowler had one RBI, while winning pitcher Jason Marquis added one hit for the Rockies, who have split their last four games.

Marquis (14-8) surrendered three runs and nine hits in six innings.

Closer Huston Street earned his 31st save despite giving up a solo homer to Josh Bard in the ninth.

MLB: Colorado 4, Washington 3

Washington, Aug. 18: Brad Hawpe homered and drove in two runs Tuesday to lead the Colorado Rockies to a 4-3 victory over the Washington Nationals.

Carlos Gonzalez and Clint Barmes also homered for the Rockies, who have won four of their last six games.

Winning pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez (11-9) allowed two runs on seven hits in eight innings to win for the fourth consecutive start. Huston Street gave up a run in the bottom of the ninth but got the final three outs for his 30th save.

Nyjer Morgan and Cristian Guzman each drove in a run for the Nationals.

MLB: Colorado 8, Pittsburgh 0

Denver, Aug. 13: Ubaldo Jimenez allowed three hits and struck out six over eight innings Wednesday, helping the Colorado Rockies to an 8-0 blanking of Pittsburgh.

Jimenez (10-9) threw 119 pitches, trimmed his ERA to 3.47 and helped the Rockies stay a game in front of San Francisco in the race for the National League wild-card spot.

Carlos Gonzalez hit a two-run homer in the first, Brad Hawpe had a two-run double in the sixth and a double by Chris Iannetta in the eighth delivered two more runs.

Kevin Hart (3-2) suffered the loss, giving up five runs on eight hits in 5 1/3.

Colorado downed the Pirates for the fifth time in eight meetings this year, including a three-game home sweep in June.

MLB: Colorado 5, Cincinnati 3

Cincinnati, July 31: Chris Iannetta and Carlos Gonzalez hit homers on consecutive pitches in the eighth inning Friday, lifting the Colorado Rockies to a 5-3 victory over Cincinnati.

The Reds, fast fading from contention in the National League Central, lost their fourth in a row.

Colorado never trailed, but saw the Reds rally to tie it in the sixth on solo homers by Joey Votto and Brandon Phillips. It was the 16th homer of the year for both players.

David Weathers (2-3) came on for Cincinnati with the score knotted at 3-3 in the eighth and he quickly got two strikes on Iannetta. After working the count full, Iannetta homered to left-center to give the Rockies the lead. He also contributed a sacrifice fly in the third.

MLB: Colorado 10, Washington 4

Denver, July 8: Ryan Spilborghs hit a game-breaking three-run triple Wednesday, leading Colorado's 10-4 rout of Washington to cap a three-game sweep.

His only hit doubled Colorado's lead to 6-0 with no outs in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Troy Tulowitzki had three hits -- one a two-run sixth-inning homer.

Carlos Gonzalez had three hits and one RBI.

Dexter Fowler and Todd Helton had two hits and one RBI each, while two others had one RBI for the Rockies, who have won six straight over Washington and seven of nine dating back to last August.

Winner Jorge De La Rosa (6-7) surrendered three runs and five hits in 6 1/3 innings with three walks and five strikeouts.

MLB: Colorado 9, Pittsburgh 7

Denver, June 21: Todd Helton's second hit Saturday, a two-run ninth-inning homer, rallied the Colorado Rockies to a 9-7 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Rockies trailed 7-4 heading into the bottom of the eighth.

Ian Stewart had three hits -- one a two-run sixth inning homer -- and three RBI. Chris Iannetta had three hits -- one a three-run homer in the eighth -- while Carlos Gonzalez added two hits and one RBI for the Rockies (35-33), who went two games over .500 for the first time this season.

They are 17-5 since Manager Jim Tracy replaced the fired Clint Hurdle May 29.
The winner was closer Huston Street (2-1).
