MLB: Minnesota 4, Chicago White Sox 3

Minneapolis, Sept. 1: Jose Morales had a pinch-hit RBI single in the ninth inning Tuesday to give the Minnesota Twins a 4-3 victory over the Chicago White Sox.

Michael Cuddyer homered twice for the Twins, who have won nine of their last 11 games and remain 3 1/2 games behind AL Central-leading Detroit.

Jon Rauch (2-0) got the win after pitching the top of the ninth.

Alexei Ramirez and Gordon Beckham homered for the White Sox, who have lost five in a row and nine of 10.

Jason Kubel singled off Matt Thornton (6-3) to begin the ninth. Brendan Harris singled an out later to put runners at the corners. After Carlos Gomez struck out, Morales got his first hit since July 11 to drive in the winning run.

MLB: Minnesota 10, Cleveland 1

Cleveland, Aug. 4: Carlos Gomez hit a three-run homer and Scott Baker pitched seven scoreless innings Tuesday in the Minnesota Twins' 10-1 win over Cleveland.

The Twins had 16 hits. Gomez was 3-for-4 effort and four RBI.

Baker (9-7) allowed just three hits and a walk to win for the seventh time in his last eight decisions.

Jason Kubel homered and six Twins players had multi-hit games.

Jhonny Peralta and Travis Hafner each went 2-for-4 for the Indians, who have lost two of three.

David Huff (5-6) lasted just 4 2/3 innings, giving up seven runs on 11 hits.

MLB: Minnesota 4, Texas 1

Arlington, Texas July 18: Scott Baker allowed one run in eight innings and Michael Cuddyer had a homer and two RBI Saturday to lead the Minnesota Twins to a 4-1 win over Texas.

Cuddyer also scored twice for the Twins, who have won 12 of their last 17 road games. Justin Morneau and Carlos Gomez each drove in a run for Minnesota.

Baker (8-7) improved to 4-0 in his last five road starts, allowing six hits and two walks with eight strikeouts. Joe Nathan earned his 25th save of the season.

Nelson Cruz homered for Texas' only run as the Rangers lost their fourth consecutive game. Cruz finished the game 3-for-4.

Scott Feldman (8-3) was the losing pitcher after allowing three runs on five hits in six innings.

MLB: Minnesota 13, Chicago White Sox 7

Minneapolis -- Carlos Gomez, Brendan Harris and Denard Span combined to drive in 11 runs for Minnesota Sunday, carrying the Twins past the Chicago White Sox 13-7.

Gomez whacked a three-run home run and totaled five RBI, Harris had a two-run shot and three RBI, and Span ripped a solo homer and drove in three runs.

Scott Baker (7-7) was the winner, working 6 1/3 innings. Baker allowed five runs and six hits.

Loser Mark Buehrle (9-3) was battered for eight runs and 10 hits in 3 1/3 innings.

MLB: Minnesota 8, Pittsburgh 2

Minneapolis, June 16: Joe Mauer was 4-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI Tuesday to help the Minnesota Twins post an 8-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Glen Perkins (2-3), activated from the 15-day disabled list prior to the game, gave up two runs on seven hits in six innings for his first victory since April 19.

Joe Crede, Delmon Young, Carlos Gomez, Justin Morneau and Nick Punto each had an RBI for the Twins, who have won three of their last four games, all in inter-league play.

Pittsburgh's Paul Maholm (4-3) gave up eight runs on 14 hits in five-plus innings. Nyjer Morgan drove in the Pirates' two runs with his first homer of the season.
