Houston -- Brian Ching's third goal of the game in the 85th minute Saturday boosted Houston to a 4-3 decision over Chicago.

Ching got his first goal in the 31st minute for 1-0 Houston lead and added two more tallies in the second half, including one on a bicycle kick.

The game-winner came when Ching positioned himself under a corner kick from Richard Mulrooney and headed a shot inside the right post from about 6 yards out for his sixth of the season.

Houston (6-10-5) recorded its first win since May 22, logging six losses and four draws in the meantime.

Calen Carr and Wilman Conde scored for Chicago (6-6-6), which also got an own goal from the Dynamo's Bobby Bowell.

Houston -- Brian Ching's goal in an extra-time period Sunday gave Houston a 1-0 Major League Soccer playoff win over Seattle and a berth in the Western Conference final.

Ching scored in the first of two 15-minute extra periods after the teams were locked in a scoreless draw in two home-and-home playoff games.

Houston advances to the Western Conference final for the third time in four seasons, where it will meet the winner of Sunday's match between Los Angeles and Chivas USA.

Chicago and Real Salt Lake will play in the Eastern Conference final.

MLS: Real Salt Lake 1, Houston 1

Houston, June 20: Brian Ching's goal in the 89th minute Saturday gave Houston a 1-1 tie with Real Salt Lakes and ran the Dynamo's unbeaten streak to 11 games.

Real Salt Lake (4-6-4) scored in the 28th minute on a goal that was credited to Fabian Espindola after initially being recorded as an own goal. RSL played a man down for the final 30 minutes, after defender Jamison Olave was assigned his second yellow card.

Ching worked a give-and-go with Brian Mullan to score the equalizer for Houston (8-2-4), his fifth goal of the MLS season.

MLS: Houston 3, San Jose 1

Houston -- The Houston Dynamo posted a 3-1 Major Soccer League victory Saturday over the San Jose Earthquakes.

Houston forward Brian Ching got things in the fourth minute with his fourth goal of the season.

Kei Kamara added his second of the season eight minutes later and Craig Waibel gave Houston a 3-0 edge just after the break.

Ryan Johnson broke up Houston goalkeeper Pat Onstad's shutout bid in the 53rd minute.

Houston (4-2-3) returns to action next Saturday when it hosts Toronto and San Jose (1-6-2) plays at Columbus Wednesday.
