Beno Udrih

NBA: Sacramento 86, New Jersey 81

Sacramento -- A 3-point shot by Beno Udrih with 3 seconds to go Friday brought an end to the Sacramento Kings' six-game losing streak with an 86-81 win over New Jersey.

The teams had been separated by no more than four points throughout the final period and New Jersey put itself in position to pull out a victory when Travis Outlaw's jumper brought the Nets within two with 27 seconds to play.

Rather than quickly commit a foul, New Jersey chose to play defense throughout the length of the 24-second clock, but Udrih spoiled that strategy by connecting on the 3-pointer that ensured a Sacramento victory.

The Kings won three of their first four games this season before enduring the losing skid.

NBA: Sacramento 117, Minnesota 116

Minneapolis -- Beno Udrih scored the winning points with 7 seconds left Wednesday and Sacramento survived the loss of its top scorer to down Minnesota 117-116.

Tyreke Evans missed the game after being suspended for one contest following an off-court incident involving his driving an automobile at high speed. He is expected to return for Sacramento's game in New Jersey on Friday.

Udrih made two free throws to give Sacramento a 117-114 lead, after which Wayne Ellington attempted a 3-pointer that would have sent the game to overtime.

Ellington's attempt misfired and although Wesley Johnson tipped in the rebound just before the buzzer, it left the Timberwolves a point short.
