COL BKB: Georgetown 89, Appalachian St. 60

Washington -- Jason Clark and Austin Freeman combined for 29 points Sunday and No. 10 Georgetown rolled to an 89-60 victory over Appalachian State.

Clark pumped in 15 points, Freeman donated 14 and Hollis Thompson and Nate Lubick each added 11 points for the Hoyas (9-1).

Georgetown jumped off to a 16-5 lead and never looked back in the one-sided affair. After the Mountaineers moved to within nine points at 41-32, the Hoyas scored the first seven points of the second half to ice the win.

Jeremi Booth and Donald Sims each popped in 14 points for Appalachian State (3-4).

COL BKB: Georgetown 87, N.C.-Asheville 72

Washington -- Austin Freeman's 32 points led Georgetown in the No. 16 Hoyas' 87-72 victory over UNC-Asheville Saturday.

Freeman hit 7-of-9 from 3-point range and was 11-of-15 overall from the field for Georgetown (6-0).

Julian Vaughn added 16 points and nine rebounds for the Hoyas and Hollis Thompson had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

J.P. Primm led the Bulldogs (2-3) with 17 points.

Georgetown set the pace early with a 44-27 halftime lead and then played the Bulldogs even in the second half, scoring 43 to UNC-Asheville's 45.

Georgetown shot 51.7 percent from the field as a team to 41.7 percent for the Bulldogs and was 13-of-25 in 3-point attempts.

COL BKB: Georgetown 69, Tulane 53

Washington -- Austin Freeman connected on four 3-pointers en route to 23 points Monday for No. 21 Georgetown, which bested Tulane 69-53.

Jason Clark contributed 17 points and 11 rebounds and Vee Sanford chipped in 10 points off the bench for the Hoyas (2-0), who built on their season-opening win over Old Dominion Friday.

Georgetown put the game away early, going on a 14-1 run capped by one of Freeman's 3-pointers to put the Hoyas up 29-9 with nearly 7 1/2 minutes to play in the half.

Tulane (1-1) got 22 points and nine rebounds from Kris Richard. Jordan Callahan added nine points and six assists in the loss.

COL BKB: Georgetown 74, Cincinnati 47

Washington -- Austin Freeman struck for 24 points only days after being diagnosed with diabetes, lifting No. 20 Georgetown to a 74-47 blowout of Cincinnati Saturday.

Freeman, who missed the Hoya's last game while being treated for the disease, returned to sink 8-of-15 shots, including 4-of-7 from 3-point range, as Georgetown (20-9, 10-8 Big East) dominated the Bearcats.

WASHINGTON, March 6 (UPI) -- Austin Freeman struck for 24 points only days after being diagnosed with diabetes, lifting No. 20 Georgetown to a 74-47 blowout of Cincinnati Saturday.

COL BKB: Georgetown 70, Louisville 60

Louisville, Ky. -- Austin Freeman led all scorers with 29 points and went 5-for-6 from 3-point range Tuesday in No. 13 Georgetown's 70-60 victory over Louisville.

Greg Monroe had 16 points and 14 rebounds for the Hoyas (19-7, 9-6 Big East).

Edgar Sosa led the Cardinals (18-10, 9-6) with 24 points and eight assists.

Reginald Delk and Samardo Samuels scored 11 points each for Louisville.

COL BKB: Georgetown 103, Villanova 90

Washington -- Austin Freeman and Jason Clark combined for 49 points Saturday, leading eighth-ranked Georgetown in a 103-90 win over No. 2 Villanova.

The contest at Washington's Verizon Center was played despite a 20-inch snowstorm in the nation's capital.

Georgetown bolted to a 50-31 lead at the break, helped by Clark's 17 first-half points and a 9-0 run in its late stages.

Freeman scored 25 with four assists.

Clark scored 24 -- 6-of-7 on 3-pointers -- with three rebounds.

COL BKB: Georgetown 72, Connecticut 69

Washinton -- Austin Freeman scored 28 of his 33 points in the second half Saturday, rallying No. 12 Georgetown to a 72-69 win over 13th-ranked Connecticut.

The junior shooting guard from Mitchellville, Md., sank 12-of-20 shots overall, including 5-of-9 3-pointers, to lead Georgetown back from a 40-25 halftime hole.
His back-to-back layups gave Georgetown a 63-59 lead with 5:09 left.

Greg Monroe scored 15 with 11 rebounds and Chris Wright added 14. Freeman added seven rebounds, three assists and three steals for the Hoyas (12-2, 3-1 Big East), who beat UConn a fourth straight time.

Stanley Robinson's 16 points, eight rebounds and four assists led Connecticut.
