Restroom visit inspires undie line

Montreal -- A Canadian man said he came up with the idea for his line of "unique and interesting" men's underwear while using an airplane lavatory.

Dylan Ribkoff, 24, of Montreal, said he was using an airplane bathroom in June 2009 when he caught a glimpse of his own underpants, The (Montreal) Gazette reported Tuesday.

"Why are men's underwear always white, gray or black and boring?" Ribkoff, nephew of designer Joseph Ribkoff, said. "So I decided I wanted to create a high-end men's underwear line that was really unique and interesting."

Ribkoff said his products are made from a cotton spandex blend for maximum comfort.
