Rossum and Duritz break up

Los Angeles -- U.S. actress Emmy Rossum says she and musician Adam Duritz have ended their relationship after about a year of dating.

The "Mystic River" and "The Phantom of the Opera" star told USA Today she and the Counting Crows front man broke up two months ago.

"We're still very close friends," she said.

The actress will soon be seen in the Showtime series "Shameless."
