TV Guide Canada to O'Neill: Sorry!

Los Angeles -- TV Guide Canada has retracted a story it ran quoting actor Ed O'Neill as saying Jane Lynch didn't deserve to win her Emmy for Supporting Actress this year.

The media outlet quoted the "Modern Family" patriarch on Dec. 6 as saying about the "Glee" actress: "I love Jane, honestly I do. I'm dying to star in one of Christopher Guest's movies alongside her, but I don't think she should have gotten the Emmy for that part. (Sue Sylvester) is just a one-note character."

EW.com said TV Guide Canada issued a retraction Thursday after O'Neill insisted that wasn't what he said and emphasized he was simply trying to support the actress who plays his small-screen wife, Sofia Vergara in the sitcom.

Longoria confirms she filed for divorce

Los Angeles -- U.S. actress Eva Longoria has confirmed she filed for divorce from her husband Tony Parker in Los Angeles Superior Court.

The "Desperate Housewives" star and professional basketball player married three years ago.

"It is with great sadness that after seven years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce," Longoria said in a statement Wednesday afternoon. "We love each other deeply and pray for each other's happiness."

Irreconcilable differences was cited in the legal papers as the cause for the split, UsMagazine.com said.

Jennifer Love Hewitt's beau no turkey

Los Angeles -- Actress Jennifer Love Hewitt's new boyfriend, Alex Beh, is already up for a starring role in family traditions as Thanksgiving approaches.

It seems Beh knows his way around the kitchen and has already qualified for the pending feast.

"I didn't know he made a great turkey until right now," Love Hewitt told People magazine at this week's Rock the Kasbah gala in Los Angeles. "We're learning every day."

The "Ghost Whisperer" star says Beh, who is also an actor, has proven himself to be an "old fashioned" gentleman.

And she should know if a man has the necessary skills -- culinary and otherwise -- to be boyfriend material. She released a book earlier this year on relationship advice called "The Day I Shot Cupid."

Bilson and Christensen back together

Los Angeles -- U.S. actress Rachel Bilson and Canadian actor Hayden Christensen have reconciled after breaking up during the summer, Bilson's friend told People.com.

The "Jumper" co-stars started dating in 2007, announced their engagement in December 2008, only to break up this past August.

"They're dating again," said People's unnamed source without offering details regarding when they resumed seeing each other.

Bilson, 29, is best known for her work on TV's "The O.C." Her film credits include "The Last Kiss" and "New York, I Love You."

Christensen, also 29, starred in the movie "Shattered Glass" and the latest three "Star Wars" pictures.

Derns and Ladd get Hollywood Walk stars

Los Angeles -- Actress Laura Dern and her famous parents Bruce Dern and Diane Ladd have been presented with stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Monday's event marked the first time a trio of acting family members have earned the distinction on the same day, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce said.

Guest speakers David Lynch, Mark Ruffalo, Joe Dante, Rev. Della Reese and Barbara Boyle took part in the star-dedication ceremony.

Lovato quits tour, enters rehab

Los Angeles -- Demi Lovato's publicist says the U.S. singer-actress has left the Jonas Brothers concert tour and is seeking treatment for "emotional and physical issues."

Lovato, 18, is best known for her work in the "Camp Rock" TV movies and on the series "Sonny with a Chance."

She has been touring with the Jonas Brothers in recent months but her publicist told People.com she quit during the weekend and checked into a treatment center for "emotional and physical issues she has dealt with for some time."

The name of the facility and the nature of Lovato's "issues" were not disclosed.

Mandy Moore to appear on 'Grey's'

Los Angeles -- Actress and pop star Mandy Moore will be a guest star on the U.S. medical drama series "Grey's Anatomy," ABC said Monday.

Moore is to appear on the Nov. 4 edition of the show.

Ryan Devlin from "Veronica Mars" and Amber Benson from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" are also to appear in the episode, the network said.
