Sheen to plead no contest to assault

Los Angeles -- Actor Charlie Sheen is expected to plead no contest to misdemeanor assault and will be sentenced to 30 days in jail as part of the deal, E! News said Tuesday.

The "Two and a Half Men" star has previously denied his estranged wife Brooke's allegations that he assaulted and threatened her last December.

However, E! News said the 44-year-old actor plans to enter a no-contest plea at his scheduled hearing Monday in Aspen, Colo.

Sheen's attorney, Richard Cummins, hasn't returned calls seeking comment on the story, the Web site said.

Charlie Sheen charged with assault

Aspen, Colo. -- U.S. actor Charlie Sheen was charged Monday with felony menacing, misdemeanor assault and criminal mischief for allegedly holding a knife to his wife's throat.

The charges stemmed from an alleged Christmas Day altercation with his wife, Brooke Mueller, in Aspen, Colo. The "Two and a Half Men" star is accused of threatening to kill Mueller while holding a knife to her throat.

An Aspen judge Monday announced the charges against Sheen, but also granted the couple's request to have a restraining order lifted so they can live together again with their two young sons, People.com said.

The judge reportedly also restricted Sheen from drinking alcohol, possessing firearms or abusing Mueller.

Sheen asks Obama to reopen 9/11 probe

Austin, Texas. -- Actor Charlie Sheen has appeared on radio and YouTube to urge U.S. President Barack Obama to reopen the investigation into the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks.

The "Two and a Half Men" star Tuesday published on radio talk show host Alex Jones's Infowars.com and PrisonPlanet.com Web sites a fictional account of a meeting with the president in which Sheen confronts Obama about what Sheen alleges is a cover-up surrounding 9/11.

Sheen writes to Obama over 9/11

Actor Charlie Sheen has written a letter to U.S. president Barack Obama requesting a meeting over his theories about the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

The day of 11 September 2001 saw America hit by the worst terrorist atrocities in the country's history, including an attack in New York which killed almost 3,000 people when airliners destroyed the World Trade Center.

Sheen has always been outspoken about his views on the attacks, supporting a conspiracy theory that the U.S. government at the time defrauded the public with its official story about the incident.

The star has now written to Obama asking him to reopen the investigation into 9/11.
