Orlando, November 19: Combining a class of acid-reducing drugs called proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) with Plavix (clopidogrel), a potent blood-thinner, cuts the Plavix's anti clotting effect by nearly half, rendering heart patients to a greater risk for cardiac arrest and stroke, FDA officials warned.
