LG Electronics unveiled feature packed Optimus G phone Tuesday, in a bid to regain some of the market space that it lost to tech rivals Apple and Samsung. The gadget runs on Google's Android platform and will hit South Korean stores in late September, followed by global launch later.
The Optimus G comes equipped with a powerful 13 megapixel camera and a 4.7 inch screen which is bigger than that of Samsung Galaxy SIII and Apple iPhone. Its picture quality is excellent and the voice-activated power camera is a spectacular feature indeed.
Processor and multi-tasking
Optimus G, powered by Qualcomm's quad-core Snapdragon processor, is simply splendid when it comes to multi-tasking. You can search the web, send messages and watch a television broadcast - all at the same time!
The smartphone measures 131.9 x 68.9 x 8.45mm, weighs 145 grams and has internal memory of 32GB. Its light weight is another plus point given its slew of powerful features.
Other outstanding features
QSlide Function: QSlide allows you to run two apps on top of each other with overlay screens. The opacity level of these two screens can be adjusted by the user depending on his or her choice.
LG Optimus G appears to be of a pretty strong built and can take a good amount of beating. The sides are made of plastic while its front and back are covered with glass.
All in all, LG Optimus G promises to be a cool product with all the characteristics of a winner.
