HTC Media Link: Wireless DLNA Support for Video Streaming

Here's HTC Media Link, a streaming adapter to stream your digital content to TV that does not have DLNA support.

HTC recently announced their first wirelessly streaming media device, the Media Link. The device  works well with smartphones Desire HD and Desire Z, and efficiently streams media files wirelessly to your TV that lacks DLNA support.

The streamer is also compatible with Android handsets running the latest version of Sense.

Look and Feel
HTC Media Link is a small device that measures 71.5 mm in length, 45 mm in breadth and 8 mm thickness. It weighs just 210 grams.

The device is so portable that you can even carry the device in your pocket.

The Media Link features a mini HDMI port and a micro USB port on the back, to connect to your TV.

On the front side there is a power button with LED indicator light to shows the connection status.

Setup and Working
Setting up the connection via Media Link is very easy and the whole process will take not more than 5 minutes.

You just need to connect Media Link with your respective device via a mini HDMI port or a micro USB port (whatever is available and compatible with the device).

Once the connections are completed, the LED will indicate the status of the Media Link, and you will see the HTC graphics on output screen.

It will then ask you to change your default password. From here you can now either attach your streamer with local Wifi network or made it to act like standalone wifi hotspot.

It flawlessly streams content even when the local Wifi network is about 30 feet away from the device.

It output best quality images, photos and videos with up to 720p HD output quality.

The device supports video formats like 3GP, WMV, MPEG4, H.263, H.264, and XVID, audio formats like AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, AMR-WB, MP3, and WMA, and image formats like GIF, JPEG, BMP.
