Moscow -- Police in Moscow were investigating the attack on stage director Roman Viktyuk during the weekend.

More than one person allegedly beat Viktyuk Saturday, ITAR-Tass reported.
"Viktyuk was found by his driver near 4 Tverskaya Street," police said.
Viktyuk has directed in Russian cities of Kiev, Tver, Vilnius and other stages. In 1996, he opened Roman Viktyuk's Theatre in Moscow.
