Much-delayed white iPhone 4 finally coming!

Apple’s latest move, if true, has fueled speculation that the iPhone 5, which was expected to launch in June, will no longer be released this year

The elusive and highly anticipated white iPhone 4 may finally be available in the next two weeks, according to multiple tabloid reports making rounds on the internet.

In March, Phil Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of marketing, hinted on Twitter that the white version of the iPhone 4 is coming “this spring.”

Now, that timeframe has been reduced to “the next few weeks,” according to sources cited by several news agencies including Reuters and Bloomberg.

In March, Phil Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of marketing, hinted on Twitter that the white version of the iPhone 4 is coming “this spring.”

According to CNN, Bloomberg BusinessWeek is quoting three unnamed sources "with knowledge of the plans" who say the much-delayed white iPhone 4 will go on sale in the next couple of weeks.

Other details
The Bloomberg sources also said that Apple is apparently gearing up to offer the device on both AT&T and Verizon Wireless before the month of April ends.

Citing two people familiar with the production of the white iPhone 4, a report from Reuters is stating that Foxconn’s Hon Hai Precision Industry Co Ltd., a major supplier of components for Apple products, “would assemble the iPhone.”

Delayed several times previously
The elusive Apple iPhone 4 was supposed to be released previously but manufacturing problems have hindered the technology from releasing the handheld device.

Bloomberg’s sources say that the white iPhone 4 was postponed after the company detected some manufacturing problems, including paint peeling when exposed to heat.

In a statement last June, Apple said: “White models of Apple’s new iPhone 4 have proven more challenging to manufacture than expected, and as a result they will not be available until the second half of July [2010].”

Now, the sources say that the Cupertino, California-based technology giant has finally overcome the problems with the manufacturing process of the white iPhone.

iPhone 4 may delay iPhone 5 launch
Apple’s latest move, if true, has fueled speculation that the iPhone 5, which was expected to launch in June, will no longer be released this year.

However, some tabloids are still reporting that the iPhone 5 is now rumored to be announced in Sept. with a possible launch in 2012.
