'VH1 Divas Salute the Troops' airs Sunday

New York -- Anticipation is mounting over a concert called "VH1 Divas Salute The Troops" to be televised Sunday, VH1 officials in New York City said.

The USO Presents "VH1 Divas Salute The Troops" concert features a passel of performers, including host Katy Perry, Sugarland, Grace Potter, and Ann and Nancy Wilson, VH1 said Saturday.

The show will be televised on VH1, and internationally on the Armed Forces Network.

VH1's newest divas, Katy Perry, Keri Hilson and Jennifer Nettles, open the show, paying homage to the troops with the classic Army song "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy."

First Lady Michelle Obama, Brandy, Marisa Miller, Nicole "Snooki" Polozzi, and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino from MTV's "Jersey Shore" will also appear on the program.

Footage for the show was filmed at military bases around the world, including a stop in Kuwait.

Michelle Obama will speak about the work of the USO.
