About 405 bunk beds were imported from Vietnam by Pottery Barn Kids, a division of Williams-Sonoma Inc. of San Francisco, and sold through catalog sales from July 2009 to March 2010 for $1,400.
The recall involves wooden and fiberboard Madeline bunk beds with guardrails. The commission said children can get their necks caught in the opening at the end of the beds between the post and the molding.
Consumers are advised to stop using the beds and contact Pottery Barn Kids for a free repair.
