Dog trouble for Cesar Millan: wife files for divorce

Cesar Millan Wife of Cesar Millan, who is currently one of the most popular dog trainers in America, has filed for divorce. Cesar’s obsession for dogs is being cited as one of the reasons for the decision.

Marriage is one animal that Cesar could not tame! The Dog Whisperer host Cesar Millan and his wife, Ilusion have decided to part ways after being married for 16 years.

The decision has been initiated by Ilusion, who has filed for divorce at Los Angeles court Friday, citing "irreconcilable differences."

No long walks together
Legal documents reveal that she has sought the primary physical custody of the kids, Andre and Calvin, as well as spousal support. 40-year-old Cesar will have visiting rights.

"We are sad to announce that after 16 years of marriage we have decided to file for divorce," Cesar posted on his web site Friday.

Ilusion claims, "I didn't mind the dogs all that much, but when Cesar roamed around the house on his hands and knees barking that was the last straw. I guess I should add how the mailman wouldn't deliver the mail ever since Cesar tried to sniff his butt!"

“The decision was made after much consideration and time. We remain caring friends, and are fully committed to the co-parenting of our two boys."

Dog obsessed
Some possible reasons for the decision to split: 74 stray dogs inhabited Millan’s three bedrooms home. Cesar’s love for the animal is no secret.

Neighbours have another story to tell. Juanita Sanchez, who lives across the street stated, "Cesar would howl loudly, then push his wife to all fours, and try to mount her! He even tried it at our neighborhood BBQ last Cince De Mayo! It was disgusting...Then all the other men tried it too!"

Something fishy
Signs that something wrong was brewing amongst the Millans emerged late last fall.

Ilusion, in an interview with People in 2009, gagged at her husband's obsession with facial products.

"Cesar puts on facial masks more than I do. And you can't talk to him while he's in mask meditation!" she said.

Cesar, had, during the couple's 2009 vacation to Fiji, stated that he was the kinds who would leave his wife in the hotel and go to watch dogs on the street.

Caesar’s story well fits into the 'rags to riches' category. As a young man, he left his native Mexico and came to the United States with a mere $100 in his pocket.

But the dreams were big! And here he is; the long-time host of the National Geographic Channel's Dog Whisperer. He accomplished his dream of becoming a famous dog trainer. Millan has authored four best-selling books and runs an animal rescue charity.
