Mario Lopez is going to be a father! The ‘Extra’ host’s girlfriend, Broadway dancer Courtney Mazza, is expecting their first child in the fall, Lopez confirmed Wednesday, March 10.
Lopez, who was named People’s 2008 Bachelor of the Year, has confirmed to the magazine that he is to become a first-time father, and that his girlfriend is pregnant with his child.
The ‘Saved by the Bell’ star and ‘Extra’ host Lopez, 36, and his girlfriend, actress Courtney Mazza, 28, met on the set of the Broadway revival of “A Chorus Line” in 2008, when he was filling the role of choreographer/grand inquisitor Zach.

Now it’s the role of parents for the happy duo.
Actor-turned-U.S. TV presenter Lopez told the magazine they couldn't be happier to learn they're expecting.
"I'm really excited. I'm happy. I can't wait to be a dad," Lopez told People.
"I've waited my whole life to be a dad, this is a true blessing," he said. "I am looking forward to sharing this experience with my family and my family at Extra."

When asked by the magazine if he’s ready for diaper duty, he answered: "Of course."
He continued: "I grew up in a large family. I'm fired up! I don't know what we're having. I'm going to wait to see [the baby's gender] so it will be a surprise."
No due date was given.

Lopez, who came into fame for his role as A.C. Slater on 1990s Saturday morning teen sitcom Saved by the Bell and was a former Dancing With the Stars competitor, is currently the host of showbiz news program Extra and MTV’s Best Dance Crew.
The actor-turned-TV host Lopez was previously married to Ali Landry. But their marriage lasted one day because rumor had it he slept with a stripper the weekend before the wedding.
Lopez also famously romanced dancer Karina Smirnoff.
