Lawrence, Kan. -- Sherron Collins' 16 points led No. 23 Kansas to a 71-56 win Sunday over the University of Missouri-Kansas City Kangaroos.

Cole Aldrich added 13 points for Kansas (1-0), the defending national champion.
Dane Brumagin topped the UKMC scoring with 14 points and Reggie Hamilton added 13.
The Kangaroos are 0-2.
