Seattle -- Dennis Pitta's 15-yard TD reception and a blocked extra point with seconds to go gave 15th-ranked Brigham Young a 28-27 win over the Washington Huskies.
BYU went up 28-21 after Pitta scored on a pass from Max Hall with 3:31 to play. Huskies sophomore quarterback Jake Locker scored on a 3-yard run with two seconds on the clock, but the BYU defense blocked the point after attempt as time expired.
Hall completed 30-of-41 passes for 338 yards, three touchdowns and one interception for the Cougars (2-0). Pitta led all receivers with 10 catches for 148 yards and a TD.
Austin Collie had five receptions for 74 yards and a touchdown while Andrew George also had a touchdown catch. Harvey Unga rushed for 136 yards on 23 carries and Fui Vakapuna added a rushing touchdown.
Locker passed for 204 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 62 yards and two touchdowns for the Huskies (0-2).
Jermaine Kearse only had two receptions for 54 yards but one was for a touchdown, and Luke Kravitz rushed for a touchdown.
