New York -- Crude oil prices turned downward overnight on the New York Mercantile Exchange, falling to $111.91 per barrel Tuesday.
Crude oil fell $1.23 overnight and have fallen $35.36 since the record set July 11, a drop triggered by falling demand amidst widespread economic slowdowns.
Heating oil prices fell slightly, down 0.0305 cents to $3.0619 per gallon.
Reformulated blendstock gasoline prices fell 0.024 cent to $2.795 per gallon.
Natural gas prices fell 0.068 cents to $7.82 per million British thermal units.
The national average retail price of unleaded regular gasoline fell 0.011 cent from Monday's price to $3.73 per gallon, the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report said.
