Washington -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Raw Blue hooded sweatshirts because of a strangulation risk.
No injuries have been reported but the drawstrings on the sweatshirts pose a
strangulation risk for young children, CPSC said in a statement.
About 5,740 of the sweatshirts, made in China for Raw Blue Sportwear of Moonachie, N.Jr., were sold nationwide from July 2007 through December 2007 for $30-$40, CPSC said.
The sweatshirts were sold in smack print, kapow print and comic magazine print, CPSC said.
CPSC advised consumers to remove the drawstrings from the sweatshirts or return them to the place of purchase for a refund.
Consumers can also call Raw Blue Sportwear at 800-638-1537 for information.
