Oil prices fall slightly Monday morningby MT Bureau - August 4, 2008 - 0 comments
New York -- Crude oil prices eased slightly over the weekend on the New York Mercantile Exchange, dropping 52 cents to $124.58 a barrel. Prices rose modestly last week after an Israeli politician called Iran's nuclear program "an existential threat." But, the bump in prices was short-lived as oil prices remain in a holding pattern, hovering near $125 per barrel for more than a week. Heating oil prices rose slightly Monday, up 0.0099 cents to $3.4467 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline prices fell slightly, down 0.0043 cents to $3.08 per gallon. Natural gas prices also fell, down 0.137 cents to $9.252 per million British thermal units. The national average retail price of unleaded gasoline also edged lower Monday, down 0.006 cents to $3.881 per gallon, the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report said.
