New York -- Xavier Nady drove in a six of the New York Yankees' runs Sunday in a 14-9 victory over the American League West-leading Los Angeles Angels.

Nady had a three-run home run and three other hits, Ivan Rodriguez smacked a solo homer and Bobby Abreu drove in a run and scored three, helping the Yankees gain a split in a four-game series.
The Yankees, trailing 9-8, won with a six-run rally in the eighth inning that featured a two-run single by Robinson Cano, RBI singles by Nady and Justin Christian and errors by the Angels' Erick Aybar, Jeff Mathis and Chone Figgins.
Mark Teixeira cracked a grand slam home run and Chone Figgins had four hits and three runs scored for the Angels, who lost for just the second time in seven games.
Edwar Ramirez (3-0) got the win, despite giving up Teixeira's grand slam in the top of the eighth.
Reliever Scot Shields (4-3) took the loss.
