New York -- U.S. actor Josh Lucas has been cast in "Possible Side Effects," a new Showtime pilot, the cable television network said Wednesday.
The pilot was written, executive produced and is to be directed by Oscar-winning actor Tim Robbins, however, Robbins will not be appearing in it.
Production on the pilot about three brothers who preside over a family-run pharmaceutical business is to begin in New York City later this year, Showtime said.
Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Daniel Thomas and Bill Finkelstein are also executive producing the pilot, with Lucas serving as producer.
Lucas was most recently seen in the film, "Trumbo." His other big-screen credits include "Glory Road," "Poseidon," "An Unfinished Life," "Hulk," "A Beautiful Mind" and "Sweet Home Alabama."
Robbins previously wrote and directed "Bob Roberts," "Dead Man Walking" and "Cradle Will Rock." He won his Oscar for his performance in "Mystic River."
