Oakville, Ontario -- Rookie Chez Reavie had his second straight outstanding round Friday and owned a two-shot lead when play was suspended by darkness at the Canadian Open.
Reavie's best finish in his first year on the PGA Tour has been a tie for fifth at the Bob Hope Classic and he ranks only 137th on the FedEx Cup points list.
Nevertheless, he shot a 7-under 64 Friday for a 36-hole total of 13-under 129.
Because of a rain delay Thursday, the second round could not be completed Friday. The afternoon starters were still on the course when play was halted.
Eric Axley, who had one hole remaining, was at 11-under. Nicholas Thompson was 9-under with one hole left.
Billy Mayfair and Steve Marino were at 8-under 134 for 36 holes and both Brian Davis and Briny Baird were at 8-under with more golf to play. Davis had one hole remaining and Baird had five.
Sean O'Hair, part of the three-way tie for first in the opening round, shot a 71 that left him five shots behind.
The other first-round co-leader fared even worse. After a 65 Thursday, Anthony Kim was 2-over for his round through 15 holes Friday.
