New York -- Crude oil prices fell Tuesday in New York to $136.62 per barrel amid worries a weaker economy wouldn't support relentless demand.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, prices have fallen more than $10 a barrel since setting a record of more than $147 per barrel Friday.
In early trading, crude oil prices fell $2.12 to $136.62 per barrel. The price of heating oil fell 0.037 cents to $3.882 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline prices fell 0.0518 cents to $3.333 per gallon. Natural gas prices fell 0.167 cents to $11.31 per million British thermal units.
At the pump, the national average price for a gallon of unleaded gasoline rose 0.005 cents to $3.114, AAA said.
