Boss Lady Busted: Snoop Dogg's Wife Arrested For DUI

Mischief seems to run in the family for Snoop Dogg. Always in the tabloid for acts like arrest for gun and drug charges or possession of marijuana, this time it’s his wife Shante Broadus who was busted for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Fullerton police Lt. Craig Brower says officers stopped 32-year-old Shante Broadus of Sherman Oaks about 12:15 a.m. Saturday June 15 and took her to jail. The police did not cite any other details except the fact that Mrs. Broadus was driving alone. She was cited and then released pending a court appearance.

Shante Broadus AKA Boss Lady had held the key to Snoop’s heart for a decade. The couple wed in 1998. Shante, a well established business woman, is the mother of Snoop Dogg’s three children, 13 year old Corde, 10 year old Cordell and 7 year old Cori.

The rapper’s marriage seemed to be over in 2004 when he filed for divorce. The reason cited was irreconcilable differences, and custody was being sought of the three kids. Lately the couple seemed to have got back on track and have been successful in working their differences.

The hip hop star, whose real name is Cordozar Calvin Broadus Jr. recently decided to renew his wedding vows with wife Shante. As a celebration to mark their 10th anniversary, Snoop surprised his longtime spouse with a romantic ceremony. The event was arranged at a ranch just outside Los Angeles, attended by over 200 guests on January 12, 2008. Dressed in a black tuxedo, Snoop exchanged vows with Shante Broadus for the second time in the presence of celebrities. The rap mogul reportedly presented her with a diamond ring to seal the commitment to their marriage.

Snoop Dogg is currently working on a reality television series called “Father Hood” for E! The series will be aired next month. The romantic gesture was, of course filmed as a part of his reality series.

A message left with Snoop Dogg’s publicist regarding the arrest was not immediately responded to.
