New York -- Crude oil prices jumped overnight on New York Mercantile Exchange Friday, completing a 24-hour surge of $7.76 per barrel.
Prices gained on the dollar's slide against the euro and European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet's remarks Thursday that inflation would rise more than previously expected.
On the exchange, crude oil prices reached $129.99 Friday morning.
The price of heating oil rose 0.0596 cents to $3.7404 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline prices rose 0.0315 cents to $3.366 per gallon. Natural gas prices rose 0.113 cents to $12.632 per million British thermal units.
At the pump, the national average price for a gallon of unleaded gasoline fell slightly, down 0.003 cents to $3.986, AAA said.
