New York -- Crude oil prices declined slightly in New York Tuesday with analysts predicting a stall in the rapid gains made since the first of the year.
Crude oil peaked at $135 per barrel on May 22. For nearly two weeks since, prices have hovered near $130 per barrel.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange Tuesday, crude oil prices declined 0.18 cents to $127.58 per barrel. The price of heating oil rose 0.008 to $3.73 per gallon.
Reformulated blendstock gasoline prices rose 0.0028 cents to $3.3935 per gallon.
Natural gas prices rose 0.301 cents to $12.27 per million British thermal units.
At the pump, the national average price for a gallon of unleaded gasoline remained just shy of $4 per gallon, up 0.003 cents from Monday's price at $3.978, AAA said.
