Teen: Kiss caused drunken driving arrest

New York -- Kissing an intoxicated boy can cause an individual's blood-alcohol level to reach illegal levels, a teenage girl in Manhasset, N.Y., contends.

New York -- Kissing an intoxicated boy can cause an individual's blood-alcohol level to reach illegal levels, a teenage girl in Manhasset, N.Y., contends.

The 17-year-old girl, who was arrested Friday on suspicion of drunken driving, told police the only reason she blew a .15 blood-alcohol level was due to her amorous activities with a drunken boy, Newsday reported.

"I didn't drink! I was kissing a boy who was drunk," the police report quotes Gianna Vigliotti as saying during her arrest.

Court documents show that the arresting officer allegedly found an empty beer can in Vigliotti's purse and four full beers inside the car.

Vigliotti's attorney, Dennis Lemke, said his client would soon be vindicated on the drunken driving charges.

"To now have it publicized is not only embarrassing, but demeaning, as well," he told Newsday. "We expect it to be resolved in the near future."
