Detroit -- Pop singer Alicia Keys says she wants to take part in a musical collaboration with Detroit-born rockers.
The "Songs in A Minor" singer said among the numerous rock groups she is interested in working with in the future, the "raw" sound of Jack and Meg White interests her the most, the Detroit Free Press reported Sunday.
"Well, I love the White Stripes because they're very, very raw. It's very cut and dried -- it's drums and it's guitar, or it's a little drums and piano, or it's a little drums and bass," Keys said of the "Elephant" duo. "It's raw and it's intense, and it's still fun and it's still edgy."
The singer says she has already had talks with Jack White about collaborating and initial discussions have been positive.
"We've had some conversations, so when the time works out it definitely will happen," she told the Press.
The newspaper said other rock groups on Keys' wish list for future productions include the Queens of the Stone Age, U2, Green Day and Linkin Park.
