Kenosha, Wis. -- Police in Kenosha, Wis., said a man finally forked over the cash this week to pay a parking ticket issued 21 years ago.
The citation, written Jan. 20, 1987, made its way to the police department Thursday when someone left it in the building's drop-box, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported.
Police said the ticket was issued for breaking parking time limits.
The ticket was initially written for a $3 penalty, but the price was hiked up to a whopping $6 after the driver neglected to pay it within a 120-hour deadline.
Police said they can tell from information on the citation that a male with a car in Dallas dropped of the ticket, finally satisfying the Kenosha parking debt.
