New York -- Crude oil prices gained slightly in New York Friday morning after a drop of more than $4 per barrel Thursday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, crude oil prices rose 0.26 cents to $126.89 per barrel. Eight days ago, crude oil prices hit a record topping $135 per barrel.
On the exchange Friday, the price of heating oil fell 0.0148 cents to $3.6737 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline prices fell 0.003 cents to $3.4012 per gallon. Natural gas prices rose 0.121 cents to $11.595 per million British thermal units.
At the pump, the national average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline continued its week of record-setting, hitting $3.962, up from Thursday's price of $3.952, AAA said.
