Mathison, Shepherd named Emmy show hosts

Los Angeles -- Cameron Mathison and Sherri Shepherd have been named the co-hosts of the upcoming "35th annual Daytime Emmy Awards" show in Hollywood, ABC said Tuesday.

Mathison, a cast member of the soap opera "All My Children," recently competed on "Dancing with the Stars."

Shepherd is a panelist on the morning talk show "The View."

The Emmy Awards presentation is to be broadcast on ABC from Hollywood's Kodak Theater June 20.

"Cameron and Sherri both have such an inviting way about them. Viewers will feel like they're in the Kodak and part of the excitement and enthusiasm surrounding this year's broadcast," Brian Frons, president of Daytime for Disney-ABC Television Group, said in a statement. "They bring the perfect vibe to the celebratory atmosphere of this show."
