'Narnia' is No. 1 at box officeby MT Bureau - May 19, 2008 - 0 comments
Hollywood -- "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" opened in the top spot at the U.S. box office, grossing an estimated $56.5 million and dropping "Iron Man" to No. 2. After two weeks at the top of the box-office chart, "Iron Man" was still doing strong business, grossing an estimated $31.2 million in its third weekend for a running total of $222.4 million, the box-office tracker Box Office Mojo said Sunday. The Cameron Diaz-Ashton Kutcher romantic comedy "What Happens in Vegas" took in an estimated $13.8 million and has grossed $40.3 million in two weekends. The rest of the top 10 were: "Made of Honor," $4.5 million; "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," $2.5 million; "Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay," $1.8 million; "The Forbidden Kingdom," $1 million; and "The Visitor," $687,000.
