Detroit -- General Motors Corp. has reached a tentative agreement with a United Auto Workers local that has been on strike for more than a month, the U.S. automaker said.

The Detroit News reported Friday that the agreement covers 2,300 workers at the Delta Township factory near Lansing, Mich. Employees at the factory build GM sport utility vehicles, including the Buick Enclave, GMC Acadia and Saturn Outlook.

Since the plant opened in 2006, workers have been covered by a temporary labor agreement, said UAW Local 602 President Doug Rademacher.

GM is still trying to resolve labor disputes at factories in Mansfield, Ohio, and Kansas City, Kan., the newspaper reported.

In related news, GM Wednesday reached a tentative three-year labor deal with the Canadian Auto Workers union, covering 13,000 hourly employees.
