Jupiter, Fla. -- Basketball great Michael Jordan, who is now more likely to be seen on the golf course, is reportedly planning to move to a gated golf community in Florida.
According to Palm Beach County record's, Jordan's company has paid close to $5 million for two lots in Bear's Club in Jupiter, the Palm Beach Post reported.
Residents of the area are used to famous neighbors. Celine Dion volunteered her time with community groups, while Joe Namath sent his daughter to public school and chauffeured her to play dates.
But some people are especially excited about Jordan.
"Here's a guy who can live and raise his family anywhere in the world. He picks Jupiter," Councilman Todd Wodraska told the Post. "That's exciting."
John True, who owns Oceanfront Realty in Juno Beach, said that the tight security at Bear's Club is probably a big plus for Jordan. The course, designed by Jack Nicklaus, has little touches like sand imported from Ohio for the sand traps.
