Chinese-made robot toys are recalled

Washington -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall of about 2,000 Chinese-made Interchange-brand toy robots due to a health hazard.

Washington -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall of about 2,000 Chinese-made Interchange-brand toy robots due to a health hazard.

The CPSC said the robots, imported by OKK Trading Inc. of Commerce, Calif., have surface paints that contain excessive levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard.

The recalled robot toys were sold as a four piece set with various colored robots, each carrying a gun in one hand and a shield in the other. "Interchange Robot" is printed on the outside packaging of the product.

The toys were sold at dollar stores nationwide from October 2007 through December 2007 for about $1.

Consumers may return the robot toys for a refund or contact OKK Trading at 877-655-8697 for additional information.
