Milwaukee -- The Web site handling ticket sales for U.S. rocker Bruce Springsteen's performance at Harley-Davidson's 105th anniversary celebration crashed this weekend.
Harley-Davidson said in a statement that Saturday's Web site crash occurred nearly 30 minutes after ticket sales began, but those interested in ordering tickets would be given a second chance once the site's ticket-selling system is operational again, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported.
"The confirmation number required to complete ticket orders will remain valid until the ticket sale is finalized for the Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band concert," the company said.
The company's statement blamed the crash on "volume-related technical issues" and offered its apologies for those inconvenienced by the technical malfunction.
It assured Springsteen fans that the online system would be tested before being a second round of sales takes place for the Aug. 30 concert in Milwaukee, the newspaper said.
