Frozen Icybay-brand langostinos recalledby MT Bureau - March 17, 2008 - 0 comments
Washington -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced the recall of Icybay-brand frozen langostinos because of possible bacterial contamination. The FDA said the recalled prawns were sold in one-pound, clear plastic packages marked with UPC 0-73129-61672-8 and an expiration date of June 2009. The recall involves production dates of July 18, 2007, through August 13, 2007, and/or Julian dates of 199 through 232. The recalled Icybay-brand cooked langostinos were distributed by Slade Gorton & Co. of Boston to retailers in Massachusetts and Maryland and to wholesalers in Colorado, Connecticut, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, Vermont, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
