BUENOS AIRES -- Vincent Gallo will join Spanish actor Javier Bardem in Francis Ford Coppola's drama, "Tetro," which is set to begin filming in Buenos Aires.
Gallo, who starred in wrote and directed the 2003 film "The Brown Bunny," will play a bother in a broken family, The Hollywood Reporter reported Saturday.
Bardem is set to play a literary critic from Argentina, while Alden Ehrenreich will play Gallo's younger brother who goes on a search for him in Buenos Aires. Maribel Verdu is also in the cast.
The American Zoetrope project, scheduled for a 2009 release, has a budget less than $15 million. It is set to start filming March 31.
