Los Angeles -- The Los Angeles City Attorney's office has charged film actress Bai Ling with petty theft for allegedly stealing items from an airport shop last month.
Ling, who starred in "The Crow" and "Anna and the King," was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport following the alleged incident.
"(She) was charged based on an arrest that occurred Feb. 13 at LAX where she stole two Star magazines and a package of batteries," spokesman Frank Mateljan told People.com, adding the value of the theft was $16.22.
The Chinese-American actress is to be arraigned March 5 and faces a maximum penalty of a $250 fine, the magazine said.
