Some Onion Crock-brand soups are recalledby MT Bureau - February 12, 2008 - 0 comments
Washington -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced the recall of Onion Crock of Michigan-brand potato and minestrone soups because of a labeling error. Onion Crock Of Michigan Inc. initiated the recall because the soups might contain soy or wheat, thereby posing a health risk to people who are allergic to such ingredients. The recalled soups were distributed to restaurants, retail stores and fundraising companies in Michigan. The recalled old fashion potato soup may be packed in 1-pound frozen pouches (UPC 643640010772) or in 4- or 8-pound pouches (UPC 643640001053) with best-if-used-by dates of "7/21/09" or earlier. The recalled minestrone soups were packaged in 1-pound frozen pouches (UPC 64364001111) or in 4- or 8-pound pouches (UPC 643640001138) or with any best-if-used-by dates of "7/08/09" or earlier. Consumers can return the soups to where they were purchased for a full refund or they can contact the company at 616-458-2922. Copyright 2008 by United Press International. Post new comment |
