Butler, Heigl sign on for 'Ugly Truth'

Los Angeles -- Scottish actor Gerard Butler reportedly is set to co-star with Katherine Heigl in Robert Luketic's new big-screen comedy "The Ugly Truth."

Butler was seen recently in "P.S., I Love You" and "300," while Heigl has starred in "27 Dresses," "Knocked Up" and "Grey's Anatomy."

Luketic will direct "The Ugly Truth" based on a script by Karen McCullah Lutz and Kirsten Smith, Variety.com said Wednesday.

The trio previously collaborated on "Legally Blonde."

"The Ugly Truth" is slated to start filming in April, the trade paper said.
