China-made toy wrestler figures recalledby MT Bureau - January 15, 2008 - 0 comments
Washington -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of 5,400 Chinese-manufactured toy wrestler figures because of lead content. The CPSC said the figures' surface pain contains high levels of lead, violating the U.S. lead paint standard. Distributed by A.A. of America Inc. of East Brunswick, N.J., the packages of four action figures -- each figure approximately 5 3/4 inches high -- were sold nationwide by discount stores for about $1. The UPC number 604111230003 is printed on the product's packaging. Consumers are advised to return the toys for a refund or contact the company at 888- 822-8697 for additional information.
