Calgary, Alberta-- Owen Nolan scored twice Tuesday, helping the Calgary Flames to a 4-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche.
Jarome Iginla scored what turned out to be the game-winning goal midway through the second period and David Moss also scored for the Flames, winners of three of their last four games. Miikka Kiprusoff turned back 20 Avalanche shots.
Marek Svatos was the only Colorado player to get the puck past Kiprusoff.
Jose Theodore allowed three goals on only 14 shots in the losing effort for Colorado, which has lost four of its last five games.
Following a scoreless first period, the teams traded goals only eight seconds apart early in the second for a 1-1 tie. Iginla then made it 2-1 with 10:56 left in the second session and Calgary later added two insurance goals.
