Baby survives drop from burning building

Osaka, Japan -- A 5-month-old girl escaped unharmed Monday when her parents dropped her from the third floor of a burning building in Osaka, Japan.

"The baby was held by a neighbor who caught her. She did not cry," a 24-year-old neighbor told the Kyodo news service.

The child's parents weren't quite so lucky. Her father, sports instructor Shunichi Morioka, 22, broke an arm and his legs when he jumped, and her mother, Miyuki, 25, suffered smoke inhalation, the news service said
