Alleged pedophile arrested

Henderson, Nev. -- A 37-year-old man suspected of raping a 3-year-old girl was arrested in Nevada Monday night.

Chester A. Stiles was arrested by two Henderson police officers during a routine traffic stop, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported. Police said Stiles offered a false California driver's license when he was pulled over for driving a sedan with no license plates, the newspaper reported.

When the officers questioned him about the driver’s license, Stiles allegedly divulged his real identity.

Last month, the Nye County Sheriff's Department disclosed it was trying to identify a small girl seen on a video being sexually assaulted, KLAS-TV in Las Vegas reported. A week later, the girl, now seven years old, was found in Las Vegas and the suspect on the video was allegedly identified as Stiles, the TV station said.

At the time of the alleged attack, the child and her mother were living with another woman who was dating Stiles.

Jerry Donohue, an attorney speaking for the victim and her mother, told KLAS-TV before the arrest he hopes Stiles "digs a hole in the ground and puts a gun in his mouth."
